MCL hosts AFM seminar on advanced applications

March 14, 2022 – MCL held a seminar in collaboration with Oxford Instruments Asylum Research. The speakers were Dr. Ted Limpoco, Senior Applications Scientist and Robert Newton, Central Region Account Manager.

Abstract: The Atomic Force Microscope is a highly versatile instrument for analysis of a wide range of samples. Students and researchers often do not fully understand the myriad advanced capabilities built into high end atomic force microscopes such as the Cypher ES from Asylum Research, and this talk with help explain many of these capabilities. This presentation will discuss the basic physics of the atomic force microscope, and delve into advanced application areas in nanomechanics and electrochemical AFM.
